Cut the Weeds

Once upon a time, there was a farm. The farm had a lot of weeds and in those tall, long weeds, lived a family of birds: 3 babies and a mom.
One day the farmer got super frustrated. “I am going to call my friends over and we are going to cut the weeds,” he said. So he texted his friends.

When the mama bird came back, the kids told her what the farmer said.
“Don’t worry,” the mama bird said.
The farmer kept waiting the whole day, but his friends did not come.
The farmer kept thinking about what could be done and he brought his kids to the farm. “Kids, cut these weeds tomorrow,” the angry farmer demanded.
The adorable baby birds again told their mama about what they heard and she, again, said, “Don’t worry.”
The next day even the kids did not cut the weeds. They made it to the garden but got too busy playing.
Later that day the farmer figured out that his kids did not cut the weeds and then he said: “If nobody is going to cut the weeds, I will have to do it myself.”
“The farmer is going to cut the weeds,” one baby said.
“Now we have to go,” Mama said.

When they were flying away, one baby bird was curious and asked: “Mama, how come we’re leaving now, and not before?”
Mama bird replied: “This time the farmer is going to cut the weeds himself, without anybody else’s help.”
“But why does that matter?” the baby bird asked.
“Sometimes, if you want to be successful, you have to rely on yourself, not others,” Mama Bird explained patiently.

Unitopia-Chapter Three

Queen Simi had him out of the cage in less time than she took to put him inside it. She paced around her throne room and every second or so she looked at Micheal.
“I’m so happy you decided to help me,” she said.
“Um yeah,” Micheal said, feeling uncomfortable, “What’s the plan?”
“Well, in a few days, two girls will come by, and they will fall down the hole to Unitopia. We have to capture them!” Queen Simi said.
“But what help are they?” Micheal asked. He honestly had no intentions of helping Queen Simi, he just wanted to know her plans so that he could stop her.
“The prophecy,” Queen Simi replied, “The prophecy states that two girls will come to our world confused and whichever side gets to them first will win.”
“Wow, the prophecy said that?” Micheal asked.
“Well, not word for word…”

                                   -Back to the present-
“Hellooooo?” Kylee was waving a hand in front of Micheal’s face.
“You just blanked out for a long time,” Lily said. She was starting to wonder if they could trust the dragon.
“I’m fine,” Micheal assured them, “But I’m the least of your worries. Queen Simi is the real problem.”
“What use are we to Queen Simi?” Lily asked.
“I’m not sure,” Micheal replied. It wasn’t exactly a lie, but still not the truth.
“Anyway, you were telling us the story of how you got here,” Kylee said.
“You act like I’m the one who you shouldn’t trust, yet you haven’t given me a reason to trust you,” Micheal said.
Kylee was really annoyed at this point.
We fell down a hole, got betrayed by Linda, and got captured and put in a cage, Kylee thought, and now this dragon’s gonna be annoying?
Kylee was not having it.
“Fine,” Kylee said, crossing her arms, “You can join us if you want, and if you don’t want to join us then just stay here and wait for Queen Simi to capture you.”
Kylee grabbed Lily’s arm and dragged her out of the room.
Kylee had no idea where she was leading them, but in her opinion: anywhere was better than here.

“Who are you?” Kylee asked when the dragon got her and Lily out of the cage.
“Micheal,” the dragon replied.
“And you clearly have some magical voodoo thing,” Kylee added waving her arms around, “So you can help us stop Queen Simi and Linda!”
“I can help, but you’re gonna need a lot more help than me,” Micheal said.
“But you’re a dragon,” Kylee argued, “Who can be more powerful than you?”
“Like, half of the population here in Unitpoia.” Micheal rolled his eyes.
Lily was on the other side of the room. She was looking around to try to find some clues on the walls. After all, Queen Simi had a lot of posters and vision boards. Eventually, she came across a chart.
“Is this a list of how powerful every animal of Unitopia is?” Lily asked, tearing the poster off the wall.
“Yep,” Micheal replied, “And as you can see, dragons the third from the bottom.”
“There are only five ranks,” Kylee said, still on I-will-not-let-anybody-be-better-than-me mode.
“And I don’t think there are too many King and Queen Alicorns,” Lily said.
“Still, I’m not as powerful as Queen Simi,” Micheal said.
“You got us!” Kylee argued.
“Yes, a dragon and two humans can defeat the most powerful Alicorn to ever exist and her army of at least five hundred unicorns,” Micheal said sarcastically.
“What is she planning on doing?” Lily asked.
“I don’t know,” Micheal replied. His voice shook as if he wasn’t telling the full truth. He cleared his throat and quickly changed the topic, “How did you girls get yourself trapped in the Evil Alicorn’s palace?”
Lily stared at the ground and said, “Well, Linda kinda led us here-”
“Why are you here?” Kylee interrupted, glaring at Micheal.
Micheal looked like he didn’t want to tell the story. “Well….”

-A few days earlier-Micheal was getting dragged through the forest by guards. He thought that he would get at least a few days before Queen Simi found him. He was still in the human world at the time and he had just recently found out that he was a dragon. At first, he thought that it was awesome! Being able to transform into a dragon, having incredible powers, and flying! Who wouldn’t want to be a dragon? That was… until he recently found a library book.
“Let me go!” Micheal yelled, snapping back to the present.
“Under orders of the queen,” the guard said vaguely.
“Why would your queen want you to come all the way here just to get a mere dragon?” Micheal asked, his tone full of hostility.
                                                                    …
“Here you, My Queen.” The guard dropped Micheal in front of a pink alicorn.
“Thank you,” the alicorn said, “You can leave now.”
When the guard left, Micheal turned his head to the alicorn and glared at her. “What do you want with me?”
“Do you want to join my cause?” The alicorn asked, getting to the topic quickly.
“No,” Micheal replied. He didn’t even know what the alicorn wanted, he just wasn’t a big fan of how she had him dragged through the forest.
“Very well then.”
With barely a blink of an eye, the alicorn teleported herself and Micheal inside the dungeons. She shoved him inside the cage and walked away.
“Wait!” Micheal shouted, “Who are you?!”
“Queen Simi,” she replied.
“You sound powerful and clearly are very powerful,” Micheal said, trying to butter the Queen up, “I changed my mind, I want to help you.”

“My Queen, I do not know what you are talking about.” Linda shot the alicorn a look. The alicorn gave Linda an oh-right-sorry look before smiling sweetly at the girls.
“Hello,” she said, “I’m Queen Simi, it’s very nice to meet you.”
“I thought you were evil,” Kylee said.
Lily glared at her friend. “Well, that’s not nice.”
“Lily, do you or do you not remember what Linda just told us?” Kylee asked.
“If I may, what did Linda tell you?” Queen Simi asked.
“She told us that you took all of the princesses and that we were supposed to stop you,” Lily said. She was starting to feel very confused.
“Linda,” Queen Simi said, “What happened to everything we planned together?”
“I’m confused,” Kylee said.
Guess I’m not the only one, Lily thought.
“I’m sorry,” Linda said. She looked at Lily and Kylee. In a second they were in the air… trapped in a cage made of metal bars.

“What?” Kylee asked, “What is going on?”
“We just got betrayed by a unicorn,” Lily said.
“I don’t get the point of trapping them,” Linda said.
“I was going to get them to help us.” Queen Simi rolled her eyes. “But then you had to go and tell them all of our plans.”
“But that was the only way to get them to trust me,” Linda said.
“You at least didn’t have to tell them lies,” Queen Simi said.
At a very wrong time, Kylee yelled, “We’re still here you know!”
“We could have listened in on their plans!” Lily exclaimed, feeling like she was the only person with half a brain in the room.
“Your acting like you’re going to get out of that cage,” Queen Simi said.
“We are most definitely going to get out of this cage,” Kylee argued.
“Kylee,” Lily said, turning to look at her friend, “Please stop talking.”
Kylee listened to Lily, but still glared at Queen Simi.
Queen Simi and Linda walked out of the room.
“How are we going to get out?” Kylee asked.
“I don’t know,” Lily replied.
Both girls sat in the cage silently for a moment.
“What do you think Queen Simi meant when she told Linda to not tell lies?” Lily asked.
“I don’t know,” Kylee said.
“What did Linda lie about?” Lily asked.
“Everything?” Kylee suggested.
“We need to get out of this cage,” Lily said, changing the topic.
“Did somebody say that they need to get out of a cage?” A loud voice echoed around the room before a red dragon appeared. “I think I can help with that.”

The Adventures of Beagle and Siamese

Chapter One

A dog named Cooper was roaming the streets one fine Saturday afternoon. He believed that Saturdays were magical. For this reason, he’s been trying to find some way to get to his wish every Saturday. His plan was pretty simple: walk around on Saturdays, try to find something magical, and turn into a cat. Yup, that was his dream… to turn into a cat. Siamese cat to be specific.
“If only,” he thought to himself, “If only I could be a cat.”
He was so lost in his dreams of being a cat that he didn’t notice the fluffy animal in front of him. He accidentally bumped into her.
    “Hey!”
“You’re a- a cat,” Cooper said, incredibly impressed.
“Well, obviously,” the cat said with a heavy British accent.
“A Siamese cat,” Cooper said, still marveling.
The cat started at Cooper for a moment. “Have you never seen a cat before?”
“I’ve never had a cat talk to me,” Cooper said. He was officially out of wow-I-just-met-a-cat land.
“Anyway, you’re in my way.” The cat walked around Cooper and started leaving.
“Wait!” Cooper yelled, “I need your help.”
“My help with what exactly?” the cat asked.
    “You’re a cat right?”
    “Yes. Obviously.”
“Then you can help turn me into a cat!” Cooper exclaimed.
The cat looked at Cooper as if he had just told her to eat a cockroach. “That’s not the way it  works.”
“Well that’s the way it’s going to work from now on,” Cooper said firmly.
The cat did the animal equivalent of a facepalm and turned around to leave once again.
“How about I help you and you help me?” Cooper asked.
The cat turned back around. “I’m just running away from home, you can’t help me with that.”
“Fine then,” Cooper said, irritatedly, “I’ll figure out how to turn into a cat on my own.”
    The cat walked away slowly.
Cooper glared in her direction. If all cats are that stuck up, then I do not want to be a cat.
Who was he kidding? Of course, Cooper wanted to be a cat! It’s been his dream since… forever! Talking to this cat had been the closest he had ever gotten to turning into a cat. He couldn’t believe that he was letting this opportunity slip away so easily.
“I don’t need a cat’s help to be a cat,” Cooper told himself.
He thought for a minute. “Maybe I should try making Sundays magical instead of Saturdays.”

Unitopia – Introduction

Introduction

It was a  cool morning in September. Two best friends were walking down a road covered in the shade of trees and bushes. They were casually chatting along. Making jokes and all. But suddenly, one of the best friend’s foot slipped and she fell down… a- a trap?
“Where are we?” Lily one of the Bffs said.
“ I don’t know but  it sure is beautiful!” Kylee the other friend said. They looked at the wonderful world in front of them. There were at least a million rainbows, tiny little cottages in every color of the rainbow were there too. The greenery was more like pinkery. A big banner read: “Welcome To The Wonderful  Land Of Unitopia”.

When they meet Linda!

“Hello there, you must be the one that the princess told me about. I am Linda and … stop staring at me like that. I know that I am a unicorn. Okay, I know it is not every day you meet one of the most talented unicorns to exist! Anyway, let me show you around,” Linda said.
This unicorn sure loves to talk, Lily thought.
“Follow me, this is my house and this is the castle and this is the sea and this is the nation pony park this is a bench that is a pool  That is a fountain that-“
“You don’t need to tell us what’s obvious,” Kylee interrupted.
Linda looked embarrassed and said, “Sorry. Oh right! I forgot to tell you why you’re here. We need your help to defeat the… well she doesn’t really have a name we just call her the Evil Alicorn but anyway, she has a plan which no pony knows and she took the princesses this morning we have to stop her there is absolutely no ‘this is enough’ for her. After she takes this world she will take your world what do they call it? Umm, land? Ground?  Right Earth! It is called Earth. She told them to follow her and she led them to a palace which was black and that’s it no window so the inside was probably going to be dark as well.
“Can’t you just use your magic to get them out of there?” Lily asked.
“No, she has chandeliers that suck up all your magic until you have none if you use magic there!” Linda explained.
The girls went inside to see that the room was bright and mostly empty.
“I thought she had soldiers,” Kylee said.
“She is planning on getting a pony army since she has their princess they will have to surrender,” Linda said.  The girls looked shocked.
“I think I know the way to the throne room,” Linda said. They took a ton of turns one left 2 right straight left again.
“This place is a lot bigger on the inside,” Lily commented.

Princess Simi

When they finally got to the throne room a pink alicorn with dark blue and magenta hair stared right at Linda. “Did you do as I asked?”

I Lost My AX!

Once upon a time, there was a woodcutter who was very poor.

woodcutter cutting a tree

One day when he was cutting wood, he accidentally dropped his ax in the water.

sad woodcutter

“What did I do?” He screamed so loud you could hear it a thousand miles away. Now how will I earn money? He thought.
Then a gorgeous water fairy came up from the water. And in her silky voice, she said, “I am here to give you your ax.”

woodcutter and the angel

“Wait a minute.” The woodcutter interrupted, “Who are you and how do you know I lost my ax?”
“It landed on my head!” the fairy said.
She went into the water and got a gold ax, the gold ax was expensive but it was not the woodcutter’s ax so he didn’t accept it. The fairy was impressed.
She went back in the water this time she got a silver ax, the silver ax was also expensive but it was not the woodcutter’s ax so he didn’t accept that either.
Next, she got the woodcutters ax with the others and said, “Keep all of these, as I am very happy with your honesty”.
Then she went away. AND I FORGOT TO SAY EVERYONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER!
The moral of the story is: honesty always pays off in the end.

Crocodile and Monkey

Once upon a time, there was a crocodile and a monkey. Every day the crocodile went to see the monkey and ask for some sweet fruit.

One day the crocodile gave some fruit to his wife. “If this fruit is so sweet then imagine how sweet the monkey would taste, let’s eat him.”

The monkey was the crocodile’s friend but the crocodile did not want his wife to be disappointed, so the next day crocodile went to the monkey and said: “You are my best friend and I wanted to throw you a party so can you come on my back and I will take you to my house”.
“Ok,” the monkey said because he thought the crocodile was his friend and he hopped on the crocodile’s back.

When they got to the middle of the lake the crocodile thought monkeys could not swim and he told the monkey he was going to eat him. The monkey was very surprised and scared, and he said: “We were supposed to be best friends why would you eat me?”
Although the monkey was scared he said to himself that I have to think of a plan to save my life. Then he thought of a wonderful idea and said: “I left the sweetest part of me on the tree.”
The crocodile wanted to make his wife happy and he decided to take him back to the tree. As soon as they reached the lakeside the monkey hopped off the crocodile’s back and he never came back.
Moral: Stay calm during a difficult time and don’t lose your mind and you will always find a solution.

The Turtle That Wanted to Fly

Once upon a time, there was a village and there was a large and beautiful pond with a lot of birds, animals, and fishes.
But after some time it stopped raining and the lake started to dry up. Everyone started wondering what should they do as there was no water to drink.
One day every animal decided it is time to leave and find a better habitat.
There was one turtle named Billy and, as you know, turtles are very slow. The turtle wanted to go with the others but he couldn’t. He had a best friend named Jill who was a waterbird that could fly. He said to his friend “I can hold on to a stick with my mouth and you can hold the stick with your beak.”
“Okay.” his friend said, “but you might be a little too heavy for me to lift you by myself so hang on a second and let me get another helping hand.”
Then she went and got one of her other friends named Jack.
Before flying, Jack and Jill told Billy that “You should not talk when we are flying, otherwise you will fall and I am sure about that.”
Billy promised that he will not open his mouth until they were safely on the ground.

Billy was very excited to be flying for the first time and he almost yelled, “Wheeee,” but he stopped himself so that he wouldn’t fall.
But after some time Billy heard someone on the ground make fun of him and he got super mad when he opened his mouth to say something.

He fell, Jill tried her best to help but could not catch the poor falling turtle, luckily Billy fell on his shell and that saved his life.
Moral: Only talk when it is really needed.

King Lion and the Rabbit

Once upon a time, there was a lion he was the king of the jungle and he eats all of the little animals.
Soon the animals have a meeting.

“If we don’t stop the lion then soon he will eat all of us” A bunny said.
All the animals were terrified.
“Not if I have anything to say about it!” Another bunny said loud and tried to sound brave, he did catch everyone’s attention.
“That’s right I have a plan.” So he went to the lion’s cave and told him, “I am here to tell you that there is another lion and his eating speed is way faster than yours. Soon he will eat us all and you will have no food left.” “Nonsense there is no other lion here.”
“Yes there is and I even know his house!”
“Fine take me there!”
“No problem”.

The lion followed the bunny to the well. The lion saw himself in the water and thought it was another lion and he dived in the water to fight with the other lion to get his spot back as the “only lion”.
When he went in the well he could not breathe and he was stuck in it forever. All the animals lived happily ever after.
